About Me
Ché Lanser (43), is a painting artist born and raised in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. His journey as an artist started during his childhood in which he started to work on his raw art skills by drawing all kinds of objects and cartoon characters. His passion for art and self-expression grew and eventually became the trigger to move on with art after primary school. He studied at ‘Grafisch Lyceum’ followed by his Desktop publishing/design study.
The classes that interested Ché the most were Art history, Color theory and Photoshop skills. In the paintings he creates today he still integrates the knowledge he gained during these classes. Besides the work of others, Ché was also interested in the vision of artists who were mentioned during Art history classes. He admired realistic paintings and the timeline in which art developed/changed from the Renaissance till today. Since his time at school he admired different artists from Andrea del Sarto to street artists from today like Eduardo Kobra. Despite the valuable lessons he learned at school, he simply learns the best in practice by ‘doing’, following his intuition and adapting the knowledge he gained since he got introduced to art.
After his study, Ché worked at a printing company for over twelve years followed by labor at the port of Rotterdam. In 2019 he felt that something inside of him didn’t get enough attention. This happened to be his passion for self-expression combined with his passion for art. Nowadays Ché is interested in art styles such as realism, fine art, street-art and abstract. In his own creations he blends these styles with his own inspiration.
Besides painting, Ché has multiple interests like sporting, self-development, visiting events, museums, festivals and other activities where freedom is supported. Despite the fact that Ché likes to spend time on these activities, they don’t matter at all compared to the love he has for his daughter. She has a special place in his life. Ché likes to keep his creations close to himself and follows his intuition during the creation process.
